This stunning Guards Red Porsche 964 was delivered to our detailing studio for our Porsche paint restoration services. The new owner of this Classic Porsche had full restoration works carried out and it was our job to bring that dull neglected paintwork back to life.
The first job for our detailing team was our 22 stage decontamination process which starts with a deep clean outside the studio. The wheels were removed for restoration work and so all areas could be thoroughly clean prior to paint enhancement work.
Using specialist compound machine polishing techniques, the guards red paintwork underwent various stages polishing. The different stages of machine polishing required are dependent on the condition of the paintwork. This particular model was covered in swirl marks, scratches and had dulled overtime due to the age of the car and UV rays.
Machine polishing removes a tiny layer of the clear coat to reveal the original Guards red paintwork. This process removes any imperfections and prepares the paintwork for the application of waxes or ceramic coatings.
Porsche Paint Enhancements
The owner of this particular classic car, opted for Gtechniq ceramic coatings. Our team applied Gtechniq Crystal Serum, this is a hydrophobic coating that provides ceramic protection with extremely high levels of gloss, durability, scratch and chemical resistance. Find out more about Gtechniq here
