The Ferrari 488 Pista, a 3.9 litre, twin-turbo V8 powerhouse that produces an incredible 710BHP and 770NM of Torque. Thanks to a lightweight exhaust and extensive use of carbon fibre, the Pista weighs just 1,385kg and can sprint from 0-62mph in a ludicrous 2.85 seconds!
This incredible supercar was delivered to our studio in Dunsfold for the installation of Platinum Matt Paint Protection Film before being handed over to its lucky new owner (and YouTube star) Tom Exton aka @tge_ldnm
Presented in special order Blu Elettrico Opaco matt paintwork with yellow racing stripes down the rear wing, roof, bonnet & front splitter, this is one supercar that will attract a lot of attention on and off the track.
Matte paintwork on a supercar looks incredible however, it is extremely hard to maintain if left unprotected, this is due to the fragile nature of matte paint and the fact it cannot be polished or washed using conventional products. For this reason, it is crucial to protect the paintwork from swirl marks, scratches and stone chips before it even leaves the showroom.
Lummar Films Platinum Matte Paint Protection Film
Introducing Lummar Platinum Matte PPF, a specialist matte paint protection film designed to provide optimum protection whilst providing the desired matte finish to the paintwork.
Following a safe wash and our 22 stage decontamination process, the Pista was raised up on ramps in our purpose-built studio clean room ready for the first piece of PPF. Our clean rooms are kept at the optimum temperature for installing PPF and are clinically clean to ensure no contaminants come in to contact with the film during the installation process.
Pre-Cut Templated Paint Protection Film
Using pre-cut film which is designed to fit each panel perfectly and cut to size on our in-house plotter, these pre-cut templates eliminate the need for cutting or the use of knives when installing the film.
As you can see from the finished result, the car looks absolutely incredible and can now be used on track, road trips and supercar events without fear of stone chips and scratches. Take a look at our gallery of images to see detailed shots of the work carried out.
